SUMMARY

The mission trip to the DR was made up of 24 people, which included two interns and two staff members. The hospitality and direction given by Tim and Trina Johnson were above and beyond the team’s expectations. We were treated very well and welcomed and accepted by everyone we encountered. The trip was planned and executed without problems or complications. The team was not functioning from any “agenda or program,” it was very flexible to do or go where ever and whatever it was directed to do.

The team group of 20 blended well together. Everyone pitched in to help and assist wherever needed.

The missions and ministry included:
• Four churches
• Two public schools
• One open field area (they called a park)
• One street ministry in a barrio, ending in the Pastor’s church and prayed for him and his wife

There were many healings that we were aware of through the translators and just the joy and jubilation of the participant. The healings included: headaches, chest pain, throat pain, stomach pain, eye problems, recovery from surgery and stroke, spiritual healings and deliverances. Prayers for salvation and the joys of the freedom salvation offers were evident. At one of the schools, Tim Johnson said there were 175 students who raised their hands to receive the Lord.

There was the obvious language barrier, so in the natural the team’s report may be lacking some of the activity. However, in the Spirit, there were witnesses and evidence of the Holy Spirit moving in many of the lives of the people.

The team is confident that the seeds of the Gospel were sown in the Dominican Republic!

During the debriefing, it was voiced by more than one that their lives were personally changed by this trip, and what God had done for them while they were ministering to others.
